Celine Place

Celine Place is a zero-lot line community in North Seattle on the edge of its border with Shoreline. The 17 three-bedroom townhomes range in size from 1325 to 1477 square feet and feature attached garages and fenced yard spaces.


Matrix Real Estate took on the sales of the remaining eight townhomes after the original builder fell into receivership, which posed one of the first challenges for this community as potential buyers were confused and unsure of the future of the project. Another challenge came from the income restrictions placed on a certain amount of sales in Celine Place, required to fulfill the needs of a community land trust organization.

Education was the key to success here, as it became our job to inform potential buyers (and their brokers), how a property in receivership works and take away their fear of dealing with it. Quick flexibility and open communication, combined with a low-budget marketing plan of open houses, signage, high-quality photography, online advertising and database email blasts kept buyers interested in Celine Place and ready to bring offers.

Matrix sold the eight remaining homes at Celine Place, meeting the needs of the receiver, the seller, and the community land trust organization.
